Designed to permit the use of "lead" or other soft-center wheels (cloth buffs, wire brushes, etc) on electric motors. No need for washers or nuts! Spiral thread holds wheel securely in place by centrifugal force, allowing wheel to spin up the tapered shaft when motor is turned on. Wheel comes slowly off for safe, quick change when motor is turned off. Spindle is held securely on shaft with two socket set screws. Precision-machined from cold rolled bars. Rustproof plated finish. Yellow Zinc Plated Steel. Made in China
